Flyswatter was founded in 1994 by Attila, Marco, Florry and Tony. We started rehearsing in Florry’s parents house. After playing pretty much every birthday party, school prom and local club, we recorded our first album „Black and Blue“. It was released in 1999 on Chiller Lounger Records. In the following years we played tons of shows. Unfortunately our drummer Attila left the band in 2001 to pursue his studies. Gladly we found our new drummer Phillip, who joined the band in the same year. Recordings for our second album „Repeat in Pattern“ started. Tim Eiermann from Liquido, Pyogenesis produced this one. After releasing „Repeat in Pattern“ in 2002 we continued to play shows all over the place. Sadly in 2003 our guitarist Marco decided to leave the band. New lead guitarist Kryshi took over. After another year of playing countless shows we released our third album „Flyswatter“ in 2004 on EatTheBeat Records. This was a milestone for us, since we finally had to part ways with remaining founding member Tony. Florry was the only one left of the original lineup. It was a tough time. „Do we continue or are we done?“. We continued, forming a Munich supergroup lineup with several new members. Gudz and Joi from MyHeroDiedToday / Jettison, Los Lirkos from Stimilion joined the band. In the years 2004 – 2006 the band had its most intense phase, playing almost 200 shows and recording nearly 50 new songs. It was just too much for us to take in such a short period of time. In 2006 we officially broke up. But this was a beginning and not the end. Florry and Gudz kept on recording countless songs and did many new projects. The New Recruits (feat. Nathan, Robert and Chad from Boysetsfire), Team Monster, Leo Jonas, Südstern, and many more. In 2015 we did an exclusive reunion show in the legendary Kuckucksnest Live Club in our hometown Berchtesgaden, alongside releasing our fourth album „1994“. It is a compilation of songs recorded between 2005 – 2010. Years later, during the Corona Crisis early 2020, the original lineup Marco, Attila, Florry and Gudz got together and started recording brand-new songs. We are stoked. Flyswatter was never gone. In December 2020 we released our first new single after 14 years. We are a band again. We are Flyswatter – now and forever
